Guinness Tour

We visited the Guinness factory established in 1759. The four ingredients of Guinness beer are barley ( in 3 forms - raw, malted (soaked in water) and roasted 3 hrs), hops, yeast, and water. The barley comes from Ireland, the hops are from sunnier areas and the water is brought 20 miles to the factory.
Arthur Guinness had 21 children with one wife! They claimed Guinness was good for your health and pointed to their founder as an exams of great health fathering so many children. I want to know what the Mrs. was drinking!
The beer has changed since Arthur started brewing. It was originally an ale, it is now a stout. First, wort is produced by placing the barley in water for 2 hours, using the drained water. Then the hop is added to give the bitter taste. And then the yeast is added and fermentation takes place. Some carbonation is added. The whole process is 10 days.
The beer is stored in American oak casks.
By the way, Marie promised her children she would drink 7 Guinness' for them. This is #3.
