Ring of Kerry

We rode about 5.5 hours today to take in the view of the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is a vernacular tourist title for the Grand Atlantic Coast Tour of County Kerry's central peninsula. The area has magnificent and inspiring scenery as it surrounds the MacGillycuddy's Reeks (Mountain Range), Ireland's highest mountain.

The variation is fantastic - from the gaunt spray-whipped cliffs to the nestling hamlets in the glens of the hinterland. Attractions on this tour of Ireland's Gulf Stream coast are narrow mountain passes, bubbling streams, bogland vistas, tranquil lakes, sheep grazing, and archeological treasures.

We passed through Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Kells, Gannet, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Derrynane, west Cove, Sneem, Molls Gap, Ladies View, and back to Killarney.
I have placed a map of the Kerry Ring below and show a variety of scenes in the next few posts.
